Object and Totems ? Thus Thiery Diers appoints and there fore assigns. What are these objects ? What are these totems

Lines, streaks, arcs of circles or ellipses, contours or their absence, stains creat shapes of intriguing geometry, self-confident, sometimes trembling.

Elementary topology, precise, having an implacable innocence

Thierry Diers invents a pictorial code, a language where lannguages and signs toghether refer to intimacy

There is nothing to recognize, it lets itself be recognized in a sort of tranquil obviousness.

Here as elsewhere, the thruth barely exists.

There is nothing more to justify when the painting has conquered its own justification

The little we desire of it. Thierry Diers disguises it, erases it, and yet, he takes us elsewhere, where the wind is light.

The painter’s eye leads the hand and the hand is autonomous.
